Supervision FAQ

How do I get registered as an intern?

Go to FL Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling to access the application. You will complete the application, pay the fee, then I will send a letter to the state requesting I be assigned as your supervisor. Once you receive you registered intern card and number, we can begin supervision and you begin collecting hours toward licensure!

How often will I need supervision?

This depends on the amount of direct client hours you are providing each week. The FL Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling requires the following: 1 hour of supervision for registered interns doing 15 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy with clients each week; or 1 hour biweekly for registered interns doing less than 15 hours of psychotherapy with clients each week. Supervision cannot be completed in less that 100 weeks.

How Do I Get Started?

It's simple! Just call or schedule. And that's it, we begin supervision and you are one step closer to your goal of becoming a Licensed clinician!!!

Do you offer exam prep?

Although I make every effort to ensure you are ready for the exam, I realize that a structured learning format outside of the normal superivision session can increase the likelihood that you won't have to pay for that test twice.
